1. The Service

Hockey Fantasy Pool lets you create and manage hockey pools with friends, colleagues or members of a company: live draft, salary cap, trades, standings and NHL statistics.

The Service is a virtual team-management game. It does not allow betting and does not handle any money between participants. Any stake or prize agreed between participants is arranged outside the Service, at their own responsibility and in compliance with applicable laws.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information (name and email address) and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

The Service is not intended for people under 14.

You may ask us to close your account at any time by writing to [email protected].

3. Pools, administrators and participants

The person who creates a pool is its administrator: they choose its settings, approve or refuse membership requests and run the draft.

Participants agree to follow the pool rules and to respect other members. Scoring and management rules are described in the Service and may be adjusted by the pool administrator within the limits provided.

4. Price and payment

Creating a pool and sending invitations is free. A pool becomes payable when it starts, based on the per-participant price shown on the site at the time of payment, multiplied by the number of approved participants, plus applicable taxes.

Payment is made by the pool administrator, by credit card, through our secure payment provider. We never see or store your card number.

Any refund request must be sent to [email protected]; it is handled case by case, in accordance with Québec's Consumer Protection Act.

Company plans are subject to a separate agreement.

5. Content and conduct

You are responsible for the content you post (messages, pool name, profile photo, invitations). You may not post illegal, hateful, harassing or defamatory content or content that infringes the rights of others, nor send invitations to people who do not know you or do not want them.

You may not attempt to disrupt the Service, bypass its security measures or extract its data by automated means.

We may remove content or suspend an account that does not comply with these terms.

6. Statistics and affiliation

Hockey Fantasy Pool is not affiliated with the National Hockey League (NHL), its teams or the Players' Association. Team names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Statistics, salaries and other data come from public sources and are updated automatically. Despite our care, they may contain errors or delays; they are provided for information only.

7. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the Service available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that it will run without interruption or error.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us for the pool concerned. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the Consumer Protection Act.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its code, design and original content belong to Joel Vandal Inc. You keep your rights to the content you post and allow us to display it to the relevant members in order to operate the Service.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page; if there is a significant change, we will inform you by email or in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of Québec.
